IKON gallery trip

We had a really exciting afternoon at the IKON Gallery in Birmingham City Centre. We learnt about an artist called Vanley Burke.  We saw his art work which helped us to learn lots about his life and culture. We then made a Vanley Burke inspired piece of artwork to dress Miss Burns up in.

 

The Journey Role Play

In English this week we have been reading 'The Journey' by Shaun Tan.  The book doesn't have any words but has beautiful drawings.  We have been acting out the scene where the main character arrives at a new and exciting place, miles away from his home.
